Digital Outreach Manager

What do you do at the charity?

As the Digital Outreach Manager, I organise and manage the regional and global online peer support groups, our You Tube channel and elements of our website including live chat. I also try to enable people who have been directly or indirectly affected by encephalitis to connect through our new connections scheme and online forum.

Why do you like working here?

Within my first week at Encephalitis International I felt like I’d been here for years. The team are incredibly friendly and it’s clear that everyone is passionate about helping others. It’s a hardworking and rewarding environment.

Tell us something about yourself

I am an avid reader and love crime fiction or anything with a good twist at the end. I also love quiz shows and putting my general or obscure knowledge to the test. I spend most of my spare time with my two dogs who keep me very busy!

What difference does Encephalitis International make in your opinion?

From hearing individuals sharing their experience of encephalitis – whether personal or as a family member – it is clear that Encephalitis International gives people a chance to feel like they are not alone. Encephalitis is lifechanging and what Encephalitis International do through ongoing research, fundraising and support is remarkable.
