Stuart Brown

Stuart Brown was a Director and Owner of engineering and textile manufacturing companies, based in West and North Yorkshire. In 2010, he sold his business and established The Kirkby Foundation to support capital projects where there is a specific and genuine need.

The Foundation has to date supported 124 different organisations and funded 287 individual projects. One key objective is the establishment of a working partnership with all our beneficiaries. One of our main partners remains Encephalitis International who we have known for over ten years. In that time Encephalitis International has transformed from a local support group in North Yorkshire to international recognition due in the main to excellent management and a dedicated team.

It has been a revelation to see their significant contribution and a joy to work with and support their endeavours.
