Great North Run Entry
Paying the Registration Fee of £60 provides one Great North Run 2026 entry. We ask you to pledge to raise £350 in sponsorship / donations.

Age Restriction: Minimum 17 years on event date
Other Entry Restrictions: No service animals are allowed to participate. Electric or motorised wheelchairs are not permitted. Assisted wheelchair entries are welcome - both the participant using the wheelchair and the accompanying runner must be entered and accepted into the event. Entries from blind or visually impaired runners are welcome - all such participants must be accompanied by a supporting runner. Please advise us before purchasing your place if you need a supporting runner.

The decision to participate is your own and you are realistic about your medical and physical ability to participate - we advise you take medical advice from your doctor / a suitably qualified medical professional.

You enter the Great North Run entirely at your own risk and Encephalitis International shall not be liable for any injury or loss (physical or financial) which you may suffer or incur as a result of your participation and/or preparation for participation.

The Registration Fee payable to purchase your place and resulting entry is non-transferable, neither to a different participant nor to any subsequent Great Run event(s) in a future year(s).

The cost of the Registration Fee is non-refundable if you do not participate in the event, including due to injury or illness.

After your payment has been received, Encephalitis International will be in touch within 7 working days to approve your Registration Fee and ask you for additional details/action to confirm your Great North Run entry place.

You understand that we will share your personal details (first name, last name and email address) with Nova International Limited, trading as Great Run, so that they can email you in order to complete their own registration process. You must accept Great North Run Entry Terms, which can be viewed via this link. Before such time, we advise you do not make any travel or associated arrangements or commitments, nor start fundraising.

You pledge to raise a minimum of £350 (or alternative currency equivalent) in sponsorship / donations, exclusive of Gift Aid (where applicable for UK donors).

Encephalitis International may withdraw your entry place at any time if it considers that you are not committed to raising the pledged amount, or if your fundraising efforts are considered harmful to their reputation, in which case we will refund your Registration Fee.
