My Brain and Medicine 2024!
Join us for an online patient event where we will have a host of professional and lived experience speakers. The presentations are aimed at patients, carers and family members with an interest with encephalitis.
Starting on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00PM BST, this event will bring together experts and patients, from around the world to share their knowledge and experience of encephalitis.
Topics include:
- Overview of infectious encephalitis
- Overview of autoimmune encephalitis
- Overview of encephalitis in children
- Recovery following encephalitis.
- Lived experience by patients following encephalitis.
- National Covid-19 Clinical Neuroscience Study update.
- Vaccine hesitancy, misconceptions & facts.

- Professor Carsten Finke – Department of Neurology at Charite Berlin, Germany.
- Dr Marie Rafiq – Toulouse University Hospital, France.
- Kati Sowada, MS, CRC – Lead Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist in the Brain Injury Day Treatment Program, Certificated Rehabilitation Counselor, United States.

The talks are aimed at patients, family members, carer’s and anyone with a specific interest in encephalitis. There will be an opportunity for delegates to ask questions and to connect with others by joining a Zoom meeting at 5.00pm (BST)
