2016 - Life After Encephalitis - Guardian Book Launch
Dr Ava Easton was guest of honour at the offices of The Guardian newspaper for the London launch of her new book, Life After Encephalitis.
Around 80 members and supporters turned out for an enjoyable evening in the Scott Room which featured an introduction from Ambassador Mathew Bose and readings from Ava’s critically-acclaimed book, including a lovely reading by contributor Thomas Tarlton, 15.
The event was hosted by Ambassador Simon Hattenstone, Features Writer for The Guardian, who later led a Q&A with Ava about her background with The Encephalitis Society and the book’s origins.
Then it was time for a book signing and also for the guests to chat, several of whom were attending their first Society event!
