Raising awareness World Encephalitis Day WED - gatherings This year’s World Encephalitis Day will see many awareness events held across the globe. Supporters – both from the general public and at medical institutions – are holding awareness days on Friday, February 22, to share information about encephalitis and the work of the Encephalitis Society and other organisations. Most events are invitation only while there are a number which are open to the public. You can send us details of your events by filling out our form Events open to the public include: Australia Melbourne – coffee meet-up with Jane at Time Out Federation Square Café, Federation Square, on Friday, February 22, 10am to 12pm. Sydney - Coffee meet up with Lorraine at Sydney Opera House Café, Sydney, on Friday, February 22, 10am – 12pm. UK Roadwater, Somerset – Beth is hosting live music with Hundred Faces and a bar, food and disco at Roadwater Village Hall, Saturday, Feb 23, 7pm to 12am. USA National Park College, Hot Springs, Arkanasas. NPTC's medical professions classes will be hosting an event in the Southside Student Center to educate the public on the topic of encephalitis on Friday, Feb 22. Please join us between 8:30 am - 9:15 am, 10:30 am - 11:30 am, and 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm.
