What do you do at the charity?

My role is Communications Manager. I look after social media, internal and external communications and also dabble in graphic design. No two days are the same!

Why do you like working here?

It’s good to have a role where you are making a difference to individuals and families who are living with encephalitis. There is also a bountiful supply of cakes and biscuits and many opportunities to play pranks on Jon, the support coordinator.

What difference does Encephalitis International make in your opinion?

I’m lucky to hear first-hand from people who have made great strides in their recoveries after encephalitis and who say we have helped them on that journey. That is very gratifying personally. Their stories – to a man, woman and child – are inspirational.
