Can you help our video project? Several young members have gone before the cameras recently to share their stories for our My Brain and Me video project. Our aim is to inspire and offer hope to other youngsters who have been affected by encephalitis by listening to others who have been in the same situation as they have. Once completed, the short videos will be uploaded to our website and onto DVD. Phillippa Chapman, the Society’s Director of Operations, is leading the project and has been the length and breadth of the country to interview members young and old. Once we have finished, we hope the videos will raise awareness and increase understanding of encephalitis among the general public as well as reduce the stigma surrounding acquired brain injuries. The people we have filmed, such as Chelsea (pictured), are an inspiration and very brave to speak to us. Phillippa would also like to hear from anyone under the age of 25 in the UK who would like to be interviewed for My Brain and Me. Email [email protected] or call +44(0)1653 692583.
