Get involved Ways to give Leave a legacy We know that your first priority when making a will is to provide for your loved ones, but many people find that even after they’ve done this they can leave something to a cause they hold dear. Leaving a gift in your will is an act of hope and compassion and an amazing way to celebrate your life. Leaving the Encephalitis Society a gift in your will is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support us. It costs nothing during your lifetime but will have a powerful impact for years to come. Drawing up a will can be expensive, and it's a job that is easy to put off to another day so the Encephalitis Society in conjunction with Moore Blatch Solicitors (for members in England and Wales) and McClure Solicitors (for members in Scotland) are offering to all members a complimentary (free) Will Writing Service.* The partnership between the Encephalitis Society, Moore Blatch and McClures means all our members who do not currently have a will or who wish to change their will are entitled to a basic will free of charge. Having a will means you can make provision for your family, explain exactly what your wishes are in the event of your death in relation to your possessions and property, and decide who you want to carry out those instructions. You might also decide to leave a charitable bequest. *Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service yet to members outside of England, Wales and Scotland and the free will offer only covers simple single and mirror wills only.
