Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Encephalitis 2020 was our first ever virtual conference with 257 attendees from 35 countries joining us via video link.

A select number of our Scientific Advisory Panel were on site at the Royal College of Physicians for the event.

We welcomed three keynote speakers: Professor Tom Solomon, Professor Carsten Finke, and Dr Benedict Michael and had, in addition, 12 oral presentations and 24 poster presentations from 14 countries. The programme also included a book reading and interview with Dr Ava Easton and Brian Deer, author of The Doctor Who Fooled the World: Andrew Wakefield’s war on vaccines.

You can now book your place at Encephalitis 2021.
