What do you do at the charity?

I am the Finance Manager and it is my responsibility to ensure the accounts are delivered on time, are accurate, understandable and transparent.

Why do you like working here?

I like working as part of a team. My co-workers are great as are the members. And – above all – it is fantastic to be doing something worthwhile.

Tell us something about yourself

I used to train racehorses and in the 1980s I trained a horse called Waggoners Walk to win in consecutive years at the Cheltenham festival. I have now downsized to Connemara ponies. I like gardening and watching sport on TV.

What difference does Encephalitis International make in your opinion?

I have been with Encephalitis International for over nine years and have seen the great strides we have made in all aspects of our work. It is safe to say that if you have a question – any question – about encephalitis, we will know the answer.
