Stories and News Our blog NHS Continuing Healthcare: An Introduction NHS Continuing Healthcare is a fully funded package of care provided to those who are assessed as eligible regardless of their means. The following video, courtesy of Mea North, a solicitor who specialises in community care at Moore Barlow, aims to provide an introduction to this type of funding, who might be considered as eligible and gives an overview of the assessment process itself. It also highlights some of the important points to be aware of, particularly in cases where the individual being assessed has been diagnosed with encephalitis. A new National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare was introduced from 1 October 2018. This does not alter the concept of NHS Continuing Healthcare, eligibility criteria or assessment process however please note that all references in this video are to the previous Framework.
