WHAT DO YOU DO AT THE CHARITY?

As Trusts and Foundations Coordinator, I spend most of my time researching possible sources of funding and then preparing applications. I’m also responsible for keeping in touch with all the Trusts and Foundation who generously support us – thanking them and reporting back to make sure they know just what we’ve been able to achieve with their grants.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING HERE?

I love being part of a small team making a big difference. I joined the Encephalitis Society shortly before World Encephalitis Day 2017 and it was amazing to think that a relatively small organisation based in North Yorkshire could make such a global impact with buildings and landmarks from Australia to Canada all lighting up #RED4WED

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF?

In addition to my work with the Encephalitis Society, I’m also a professional composer and recording musician.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THE ENCEPHALITIS SOCIETY MAKE IN YOUR OPINION?

Encephalitis can be such an isolating condition. One of the biggest differences the Society makes is in ensuring people affected know they are not alone.
