GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

SUBJECT AND STYLE:

Abstracts should be related to encephalitis and will be considered in any field or subject area.

Participants interested in presenting an oral or poster presentation are invited to submit an abstract. All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Conference Subcommittee and may be accepted for:

ORAL PRESENTATION – refers to abstracts accepted for oral presentation at the podium on 1st December.

POSTER PRESENTATION– data blitz poster presentation session on 30th November and/or poster board presentation in the Poster Area on 1st December and poster view in the Poster Booklet distributed to all participants.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:

  • Only abstracts submitted via online form on below will be sent to the Conference Subcommittee.
  • The Subcommittee will schedule abstracts according to either an oral or poster presentation.
  • You will receive confirmation that your abstract has been received. Please contact [email protected] if you do not receive confirmation.
  • The presenting author is expected to attend and register for the Encephalitis 2022 by the registration deadline and present the poster or oral presentation.
  • The presenting author is expected to be a professional member of the Encephalitis Society (Membership is free and can be completed here: encephalitis.info/professional-membership .
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission of his/her abstract.

 RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:

  • All abstracts must be submitted via the abstract submission form on our website below, and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university scientific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
  • Abstracts that have been published or presented prior to this conference may not be submitted. Before submitting the abstract, the Abstract Submitter must be able to confirm the following:
  1. You have previewed the abstract and all information is correct. You accept that the content of the abstract/title cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and you are aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
  2. Submission of the abstract constitutes your consent to publication (e.g. Conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.).
  3. You are the sole owner or have rights to all the information and content provided to the Encephalitis 2022. The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third-party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights. You grant the Organisers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the content.
  4. The Organisers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  5. You confirm that the contact details are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.

Acceptance Notifications & Publication Online: August 2022

PRIZES AND RECOGNITION

There will be prizes and certificates for best oral and poster presentations, awarded on the day.
