Raising awareness Our blog Exceptional Service Awards 2021 What better way to cap off a difficult year for people in the health, education and social care services than by putting them forward for an award? We are inviting nominations for the annual Encephalitis Society Exceptional Service Awards which is your chance to show how much an individual or an organisation has helped you. Whether it is your doctor, nurse, a social worker, teacher, legal professional or team at your local hospital which cared for you or a loved one, we want to know who you believe deserves to be thanked for going the extra mile in providing you excellent encephalitis care and support. Nominees can be based anywhere in the world, we welcome international submissions. Sara Birch Ares, Support Services Coordinator, said: “We don’t often get an opportunity to really show our health professionals, teachers or other professionals how much we appreciate them. This is a fantastic chance to say thank you to any person or organisation which has made a difference to your life.” Your responses as to why nominees are deserving of an award will be used by our panel of judges to decide the winners, so please be sure to show how an individual or organisation has helped you and your family. Successful nominees will be notified and awards distributed in April 2021. The awards will be presented at our digital My Brain and Medicine event, Monday 26th April. The deadline to nominate a person or team for an award is 26th March 2021.
