Each year we invite members of the Society to nominate individuals and organisations, who have really made a difference, for an Exceptional Service Award. The Award is given in recognition of exceptional service by individuals within, and organisations among, the health, education and social care services. Each nominee is invited to receive their Award at the Annual meeting. The Award Ceremony is now an integral part of our Annual Meeting. Where it is not possible for nominees to travel to the Annual Meeting, arrangements can be made for them to receive the Award locally.

The Awards not only celebrate the positive actions of people and organisations but they also raise awareness of encephalitis and the work of the Society.

Details of these awards and how to nominate someone are sent out to our members each year, usually in August.
