Gift Aid

Gift aid allows registered charities in the UK to claim tax back on donations. If you are a UK tax payer, the Inland Revenue will pay to us the tax you have paid on the money you have donated. If you donate £10, as a tax payer you will have paid to the Inland Revenue an amount of tax on that earned £10. In fact the Inland Revenue will give back 25p in the £ which is more than the tax you will have paid.

In order to claim Gift Aid

  • we need to know that you are a tax payer.
  • the amount to be claimed must be less than the tax paid you have paid in the last financial year.
  • you must provide you name, first line of your address and postcode.

The Society’s Online Donation and printed Donation form includes a section to complete so we can claim Gift Aid.

If you are unsure whether your donation qualifies, then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01653 692583, but you can also ring the Gift Aid helpline on 0151 4726038 or visit them online at Inland Revenue
