A New Resource for when you have to go away…..

There are times in our lives when we have to leave the comfort of our homes and usual surroundings. These might include holidays, hospital stays, breaks with relatives or friends and in some cases respite care.

Based on an original idea by the Neurological Alliance the Society has adapted and developed a form that you can download and print which provides an outline of what people need to know about your condition (or that of your loved one) following Encephalitis. It covers all your basic details and gives you space to describe your needs and preferences in relation to Eating and Drinking, Cognition, Pain and Sensory changes, Mobility, Personal Care, Useful Contacts and even a bit about Encephalitis.

You can use the form and then rest assured that the people where you or your loved one are going have all the information you want them to have, at their fingertips.
