A legacy is probably the most important gift you can give to the Encephalitis Society. Although it won't cost you anything during your lifetime, your bequest will ensure that the Society can be there to support people affected by encephalitis long into the future. What's more, because a charitable bequest is not subject to inheritance tax, leaving a legacy to the Charity is an excellent way to avoid much of your Estate being swallowed up by tax. It's easy to include the Encephalitis Society in your will, but you should always consult a professional such as a solicitor or financial adviser to be sure your will reflects your exact intentions and you understand the tax implications. Helpful OrganisationsThe Will Site offers a complete online service for writing a will. Just answer some questions online and they will write a legal will for you - your very own last will and testament. They will show you a summary of your will online - with absolutely no obligation to buy. A solicitor checks all wills - and will answer your questions by email. When you're happy they will send your bound will by first class post. It's that easy to make a will. Remember A Charity www.rememberacharity.org.uk/ has produced a free guide to making a will telling you the steps you need to take and how to leave a gift to your favourite cause. Please click here to download your copy. The CAF Legacy Account www.allaboutgiving.org/legacies/uk/faqs.cfm is a rewarding service that makes leaving money to your favourite causes simple and straightforward. |
