The Encephalitis Society is a registered charity whose work depends almost entirely on voluntary giving and support from grant making charitable trusts.

  • All who benefit in any way from its services are invited to support its work financially.
  • We welcome support from corporate and business sources.
  • We encourage tax-efficient giving.

As an individual donor in the UK, you can give in a number of tax-efficient ways.

  • Give As You Earn - a simple tax-effective way of giving direct from your pay, plus at present a 10% bonus.
  • Give Shares - donating stocks, shares and investments is an ideal way to give tax-effectively.
  • Leave a Legacy - "give with a will" and support our work beyond your own lifetime.
  • Gift Aid It - as taxpayer you can add a further £2.80 for every £10.00 given, by completing a Gift Aid Declaration.

For further information on tax-efficient giving, why not check out the Charities Aid Foundation website, www.AllAboutGiving.org which

  • tells you all you need to know about giving
  • lets you make donations safely and securely
  • shows you how to increase your donations by 10%
  • allows you to manage a CAF Charity Account online
  • gives you latest news direct from charities.

If you are resident outside the UK, you can make your gift for our work in pounds sterling, by donating to our charity through the website: www.givenow.org

Business/corporate support is warmly welcomed.

Opportunities are available for sponsorship of various aspects of the charity's work.

Further information is available from "business community connections": visit their website at www.bcconnections.org.uk and see our entry.
