The Encephalitis Society Retreat 2008
June, Wales
"I've just returned from the Society's retreat in Wales and just wanted to say that
it was, as ever, an unqualified success. There was a great deal of very positive
feedback in conversation and contact with members, both about the retreat and about
the Society in general. Many people mentioned to me that the ES had been an absolute
lifeline in their crisis and was still the place where they felt most supported.
As this echoes my own experience, I thought I would pass it on."Martin McLeish

Retreat 2006
Every couple of years the Society organises a special Retreat weekend away (Friday
to Sunday), in the magnificent location of Buckland Hall nestled in the mountains
of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. The weekend is for anyone affected by
encephalitis (directly or indirectly) and includes workshops , presentations, and
therapies involved in dealing with life’s difficulties, treating yourself
and having some fun too. Alternatively you can just come and wander the magnificent
60 acres of gardens, parkland and lakes. These are the pictures from the 2006 weekend
away.
