Regional Representative Accredited Volunteers
Regional Representatives are members of the Society, who can be people affected
by encephalitis, family members or carers. They want to volunteer their unique experience
to benefit other people affected, providing them with a personal approach, with
increased knowledge of the condition, its consequences and services available locally
because they have been affected and know what is like to go through this unfortunately
experience.
At the moment there are 12 Regional Representatives within UK and Ireland: ten in
England, funded by the Big Lottery Fund- Reaching Communities Programme; one in
Wales, funded by the Co-operative Membership Fund, two in Scotland and one in Ireland.
