British Paediatric Surveillance Unit
The British Paediatric Surveillance Unit facilitates surveillance of rare paediatric
conditions with the support of members of the Royal College of Paediatrics. We are
the leading paediatric epidemiological surveillance unit in the country if not the
world. The data collected is published widely in all the prestigious journals and
can be considered the definitive data on a particular rare disease. We have been
in existence for over 20 years, are funded by the Department of Health and have
now and have facilitated surveillance in over 70 conditions.
